The Don CeSar began as a grand gesture of undying love. In the early 1920’s, Thomas Roe, the founder of the hotel, opened the doors as a way to proclaim his feelings to his one true love, Lucinda. He fell in love while watching her in the opera Maritana, which today, is a culinary concept on property. The Pink Palace will forever be a symbol of their timeless love.
